Hands up if you miss going to restaurants and eating delicious food that you haven’t had to make yourself? Well, we don’t blame you. Many food lovers are in the same boat, but due to social distancing rules, it’s been suggested that eating out will never be the same again. However, there are many restaurants across the globe that are thinking on their feet in light of this pandemic, and this Swedish restaurant is one of them.
Keeping People Safe
The world is pretty strange right now, and there’s no doubt about the fact that our lives have changed dramatically. This has also been the case for Linda Karlsson and Rasmus Persson, who live in Värmland, Sweden. Linda’s mother is part of the elderly and vulnerable category, but the couple tried to rack their brains to come up with a plan that would enable them to ensure that Linda’s mother was still eating, while still keeping their distance.
Coming Up With A Plan
In the end, the couple came up with a genius plan. They set up a table and chair in the meadow in their backyard and then created a rope and pulley system that made its way from the table to their kitchen. By doing this, they could fill a picnic basket up with food and crank it to Linda’s mother in the meadow. She truly appreciated this thought, and this made the couple realize that they had created an impressive business idea.
One-Person Restaurant
Now, Linda and Rasmus have decided to continue this plan and create their own one-person restaurant. Diners can eat delicious and high-quality food, surrounded by wildflowers and open space, without having to interact with anyone else – or even any waiting staff. The restaurant opened on May 10, and it’s already been extremely popular.
It’s amazing to see how creative people have become when faced with new challenges.
