The Float House was one of the first floating resorts to open in Thailand and there’s nothing more romantic than the River Kwai. The whole area is preserved and is filled with some seriously amazing fauna and flora. Plus, with regards to most floating hotels, the price per night is pretty reasonable. Definitely worth checking out!

While Serbia doesn’t usually rank highly on our list of places to vacation, it is home to one of the coolest floating hotels in the world. These personalized catamaran apartments will change the way you experience a hotel and promise to be a lot of fun. I can’t imagine anything more romantic than simply floating down a river while you enjoy a meal and some time with your loved one. Definitely more suitable for couples though.
