Stay In Dorms
Staying in hostel dorms is one way to get closer to people. After all, you’ll all be sharing a space, so it’s likely that you will have to talk to someone at some point. Plus, hanging out in the communal areas or working as part of the team for a few extra bucks could soon give you an excuse to talk to new people and make some new travel buddies.
Head On Trips
Many destinations come with a host of opportunities to get out and see the area. The best bit? There are many organized trips that mean we don’t have to worry about planning a thing. That’s not all. Signing up to an organized trip could be all you need to meet other people with similar interests as the adventure alone should hopefully give you plenty to talk about.

Join A Community
Perhaps you have a hobby or talent that you share with many others around the world? Joining an online community could give you the chance to talk to people living across the planet. Not only will you already have a conversation starter, but traveling means you could meet up with some of your new friends or head to local conventions to meet people who share the same passion.
Choose Quiet Destinations
If you want to meet new people but don’t want to get overwhelmed by large groups or crowds of tourists, then it might be time to look at quieter destinations. Not only will you be able to see more of the area, but this should give you a chance to sit back and asses the other people in the area before sparking a conversation in your own time.
Traveling can be a great way to meet new people from all walks of life – even if we are shy. Sometimes, all it takes is a little push to meet new travel buddies and experience things we may have never seen before.
