As the holiday season of this year has officially started, Uber is aiming to make it easier to plan a trip by rolling out a range of opportunities for travelers. The app cab service recently added features of restaurant reservations and booking tours right through the app.
The New Feature
As part of the new Uber Explore feature, customers can now book tours with Viator and make reservations through OpenTable, as a new way to explore in-destination attractions. These two companies are now integrated into the new feature of Uber. The popular rideshare company first launched its Uber Explore Tab in March this year in Mexico City and over a dozen other areas across the USA.
Partnerships
According to the head of mobility verticals tech at Uber Adib Roumani, Uber Explore aims to take customers beyond a ride. This unique feature is trying to broaden the boundary of travel while easing the burden of planning, putting everything at the fingertips of the customers. With the new thrilling integration with Viator, the largest experiences marketplace in the world, Uber is now offering extensive opportunities for customers to book planned tours, adventurous activities, and amazing experiences. And through the partnership with OpenTable, the company is making sure to deliver travelers hassle-free memorable dining experiences in choices of locations.
Other Features
First launched in May, Uber Travel is another feature that’s getting expanded by the company. Through this feature, customers can store train, car, and flight reservations by linking their Outlook, Hotmail, or Gmail accounts to the app. Now, this feature is available in all the major cities of the USA and Canada, along with over 10,000 cities all around the world. Uber is also rolling out Uber Charter service in more than 20 metropolitan cities of the USA, allowing customers to book a limo, coach bus, or party bus directly through the app.
