Shakespeare and Company is a historic bookshop in Paris, France. It was established in 1951 and since its opening, it has been inviting writers to take up residence in its corridors. Through its Tumbleweeds program, writers can get accommodated in the book-lined apartments on the second floor or on beds that are hidden between the bookshelves. The only thing that is required of them, is to either write a one-page autobiography or help for a few hours a day around the bookstore.
